I love weddings. I really do. I love hearing about them, going to them, being involved in them...the whole nine. (those who still think I'm being sarcastic should turn the jaded dial a little to the left)
Three weeks ago I headed to SoCal for Pattycake & The Traskinator's wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous. The bride was beautiful, the groom was glowing, the weather was perfect and the reception was a blast. All in all, a great wedding. The bride's sister-in-law officiated the ceremony and she worked in unique details about Pattycake & The Traskinator and their relationship making the ceremony even more touching and special. At the reception, I was seated with a table full of people I didnt know and an empty chair (since my date's flight got cancelled) but we had a good time. Obviously the bride knows how to do a seating chart :)
Then two weeks ago I headed to eastern Oregon for the blessed union of G Funk and The Lars. Once again, it was an absolutely gorgeous wedding: great weather, beautiful vineyard setting, the bride and groom were happy and the reception was fun. Once again, I was at a wedding where I didnt really know anyone, so I latched onto the Baconmeister (the one face I knew) and sat with him all night. We had a great time making friends with the wedding party (who we sat with at dinner) and telling stories on the bride.
And rounding out my wedding season, I've been invited to Cinderella and Danimal's wedding in September, but unfortunately I'll be in Peru and unable to attend.
I dont know when my next wedding will be, but I hope it's soon...I really do love weddings :)
