Words of Wisdom

My senior year in college, my friend Killer and I were the "advisors" for Freshman Council, a group within Student Government. A group of...wait for it...freshmen. We helped turn them into productive members of the Carolina Community. We advised them in planning social activities, school spirit events and community service projects. It was actually super fun.

We held weekly meetings and at the close of each meeting, Killer and I would share "Words of Wisdom", sage advice on topics ranging from hair and wardrobe to career development to general stuff for good living. Years later, one of the freshmen (E-dawes) told me that "Don't break more than one law at the same time" was a piece of advice she considered influential in her life.

Back then, I had a captive audience of young impressionable minds who pretty much had to listen to me. I dont really have that now, but I'm going to share some words of wisdom anyway.

Don't post headless pictures of your bare midsection as your Facebook profile pic. I didn't think this needed to actually be stated, but apparently it does. Please tell me I don't have to list the reasons....

Like, oh I dont know, the fact that employers could see it. Or your mom. Or anyone. Even if you have an attractive bare midsection, that's just inappropriate. And weird.
