Mere days after declaring my living room DONE, I overhauled it.
My mom and her friend came to visit me for a week after Christmas. As the mothers of grown children, they decided that a post-holiday excursion was just the thing to keep them from sitting home, lamenting the return of their adult children to their own lives.
So they came to visit me! And we had a splendid time!
The first full day they were here, we headed off to IKEA for an adventure. The closest IKEA to mom and friend is 4 hours away, so it was a novelty for them. They each purchased some small things and helped me pick out a rug (which I lurve). When we got home, mom's friend (who was also really excited about my rug) suggested we jump right into rearranging the furniture to find the best arrangement to suit the new rug. It had been a few weeks since I last moved furniture, so clearly it was time to do this again.
We moved the couch to the opposite wall. We swapped the couch and the loveseat. We swapped them back. We moved the tv to the opposite corner. We moved it back. Finally we ended up with the desk in the opposite corner, tv on top of the desk, coffee table as an end table and tv table as a coffee table. Oh and couches in the exact same spots.
I love my new living room arrangement, but now that I've shuffled the furniture, I might need to move the art around. Eh...I never had those coasters hung evenly to start with.
