Things I learned this weekend:
- cross-country skiing makes you sore in places you forgot you had
- goats are more like cats than dogs and can make great pets
- duct tape is better than packing tape at mending a fallen hem
That's all.

Duct Tape and WD-40
Somewhere along the lines, my dad told me that a little bit of duct tape or a little bit of WD-40 could cure anything.
And, well,...he's kinda right.
If it's supposed to move and it doesn't, WD-40 will probably work. If it moves and it ain't supposed to, duct tape it in place.
I have a pair of black "dress pants" that I've had for years. I bought them from www.anntaylor.com years ago and they're actually long enough for me (shocker!). I've since cut out the lining and had to perform multiple hem repairs. The most recent hem repair did not involve needle and thread, but duct tape. And it's the most effective hem job I've performed to-date.
Seriously, my dad is a frickin' genius.
